This policy describes how the Саҳеҳи Бухорӣ (Sahih Bukhari) mobile application (“the app”) handles information when you use it. By installing or using the app, you agree to this policy.
The app is operated by Balkhiverse in connection with Islamic content projects including this reader for summarised Sahih al-Bukhari material.

The app is built primarily as an offline-first reader for hadith content. Text and catalog data are bundled with the app on your device. We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Cloud Messaging) and Google Play services as described below. We do not sell your personal data.
The app stores preferences and reading-related data locally (for example using Android SharedPreferences), including:
This information remains on your device unless you clear app data, uninstall the app, or it is included in a device backup according to your Android and Google account settings.
The hadith content and metadata are loaded from assets included in the app package. The app does not require you to create an account to read the text.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate use of the app (for example screen views, chapter and hadith engagement events, bookmarks, sharing actions, search usage, and notification-related events). Processing is carried out by Google LLC (and affiliates) under their policies:
You can review and adjust related settings on your device and in your Google account where Google offers controls.
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a device token and related technical data so that push messages can be delivered. The app may show notifications while it is open using the system’s notification APIs. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
If you install the app from Google Play, Google processes data as described in Google’s policies. The app may use Google Play’s in-app update flow to check for and apply updates.
The app can open external websites (for example links from the menu or the Play Store) in your browser or another app you choose. If you use Share, the content you share is passed to the app or service you select; we do not operate our own server to receive that shared content from the app.
Network access may be used for Firebase, Play services, opening external links, and related features. Core reading of the bundled content does not require an internet connection.
If laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests in running and improving the app and understanding aggregate usage, and on consent where the operating system or law requires it (for example for notifications).
On-device data is kept until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to device backups. Google retains data according to Google’s documentation and your account or device choices.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that concerns you, contact us using the channels above.
Providers such as Google may process data in multiple countries. Google describes safeguards (including standard contractual clauses) in its privacy materials where applicable.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object or export data. We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires a different process.
The app is provided “as is.” External sites opened from the app are governed by their own terms and policies.
